Vellayan Community Fund

The Vellayan Community Fund aims to support activities that improve quality of life, health, and well-being. RM1,000 – RM5,000 funding is available to support local charities and community projects throughout Malaysia.

The Vellayan Community Fund is seeking to support projects working within a range of themes as set out below:
                i) Community involvement projects
               ii) Community safety projects
              iii) Community health and well-being projects
              iv) Projects to develop skills, education & employment support

Who can apply?

This grant is open to all MSPTM members with the following criteria:

              a) Malaysian citizen

              b) Project duration: 1-2 years

              c) Amount: up to RM5,000

              d) Measurable impact on community health and wellbeing

How to apply?

Submit the completed “Vellayan Community Fund Application Form” to mysecretary@msptm.network (before 12 noon, 15 December 2026).

 Result will be announced by February 2027 via email.

What happens after I apply?
•All applicants will be notified about their outcome in writing. If your application aligns with the Vellayan Community Fund’s priority areas, it’ll be shortlisted.

What happens after the grant is awarded?
•All successful applicants must present their progress once a year. An oral presentation at MSPTM annual conference AND submission of a paper to a reputable ISI-indexed journal such as Tropical Biomedicine, acknowledging the funder, is mandatory.
