Memorial Talk Honouring the Legacy of the Late Assoc. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Vellayan Subramaniam

Dear Members of the Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSPTM),

Warm greetings from the Organising Committee of the 12th Animal Awareness Day 2026.

We are honoured to invite all MSPTM members to attend a special Memorial Talk: “Honouring the Legacy of the Late Assoc. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Vellayan Subramaniam”, which will be held in conjunction with the 12th Animal Awareness Day 2026.


Assoc. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Vellayan Subramaniam was a distinguished veterinarian, educator, wildlife parasitology pioneer, and a dedicated supporter of MSPTM who contributed immensely to veterinary medicine, parasitology, animal welfare, and community engagement in Malaysia. His decades of service and mentorship have left a lasting impact on the scientific and veterinary community. The memorial session will feature a sharing by Dr. Sam Mohan Aruptham, Past-President of MSPTM.
